Home affordability playbooks added

Published two Mortgage and Home guides: the complete 2026 home-affordability methodology, and a companion on what you can buy at 75k, 100k, 150k, and 200k of income. Both cover full PITI, the 28/36 rule, and why the lender maximum is not your real budget.

We added two affordability guides that work as a pair. The methodology playbook builds the number from the ground up: gross income, the debts that count, the 28/36 rule, full PITI, cash to close, and the reserve to keep after closing, with the lender maximum framed as a ceiling rather than a target. The income-band guide runs the same method at 75k, 100k, 150k, and 200k so you can see a realistic price range for your salary.

Both link to each other and to the home affordability, mortgage, and rent-vs-buy calculators, so you can move straight from reading to running your own numbers.
